Peyton Fisher

Marina Pereira

Peyton Fisher is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance, whose practice and teaching are rooted in the rich lineage of both classical and contemporary yoga. His primary teacher is Maureen Bosker of Yoga in the Woods in Traverse City, Michigan. Maureen trained under Beryl Bender, founder of The Hard & The Soft Yoga Retreats and Adventures—one of the most prestigious and comprehensive yoga schools in the United States, established in 1975 in Winter Park, Colorado. Both Beryl Bender and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga Yoga, remain central influences in Peyton’s lineage.

Peyton’s studies also extend through Kathy McNames of Ashtanga Yoga Vermont, both his and Maureen’s teacher, and are further enriched by Maureen’s direct training with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. In addition, Peyton has practiced with respected modern teachers including Bryan Kest, David Swenson, and many others, whose insights continue to shape his approach to teaching and living yoga.

Drawing from this deep well of training, Peyton’s teaching style blends discipline with accessibility, offering students the opportunity to explore yoga’s transformative power—physically, mentally, and spiritually. His classes honor tradition while meeting the needs of today’s students, fostering resilience, awareness, and compassion on and off the mat.
